Drama Mama Photography creates newborn, maternity and family portraits in Dublin, California. Every session is led by Lavanya, a certified newborn photographer with 6 years of hands-on newborn experience, trained at the Ana Brandt Baby Clinic and published multiple times in Lensational Magazine.

Sessions are slow, calm and baby-led, with time for feeding, soothing and cuddles. Wraps, props, gowns and outfits are all included. Families come to us from Dublin, Pleasanton, San Ramon, Livermore, Danville and across the East Bay.

Your Session, Step by Step
1. Book early. Reserve your date in your second trimester, about two months before your due date.
2. Plan together. A short questionnaire helps us choose colors, setups and family poses that feel like you.
3. Relax on session day. Newborns are photographed at 4 to 14 days old in a warm, baby-ready space, with time for feeds and cuddles.
4. Choose your favorites. Your preview gallery is ready within 14 days, and fully edited images follow in about 4 weeks.

Hi, I’m Lavanya, a certified newborn and baby photographer and the owner of DramaMama Photography LLC.
I specialize in newborn photography, maternity photography, and baby photography in Dublin, California and the Bay area.
My goal is to capture the tiny details, emotions, and connections that make the early days of parenthood so special.As a mom of two, I know how quickly babies grow and how important it is to preserve those early memories.
Newborn sessions take place in a private, baby-ready space in Dublin, with professional lighting, wraps, props, and everything needed to keep your baby comfortable and safe. Location details are shared once your session is booked.

Originally from Chennai, I began my career in computer science and worked in the IT industry for nearly ten years before turning my passion for photography into a full time business.

Today, I feel incredibly grateful that my dream job allows me to document the beautiful beginnings of families across Dublin and the Bay area.
With 6 years of hands-on experience safely handling and posing newborns, I hold certificates from the Ana Brandt Baby Clinic and keep training through advanced newborn workshops. My work has been published multiple times in Lensational Magazine.
